Antipastos Delicatessen began in 1986 when Nick and Mary DeRose, along with sons, Gino, Nick Jr., and Joe, wanted to bring a traditional New York-style deli to the San Jose area. This deli would feature the finest meats, cheeses, fish, and poultry. It would also feature many traditional prepared dishes that customers could take-home or enjoy in a sit-down atmosphere.
Now over two decades later, Antipastos' success is due in large part to all the items made here from scratch including raviolis, sausage, meatballs, and sauces. People from all over enjoy home-made lasagna, eggplant parmesan, roast chicken, baked fish, pasta dishes, plus frequent specials like prime rib and grilled steaks. Antipastos features Boarhead brand deli meats along with the best imported cheese that can be made into the most delicious sandwiches, due in large part to daily-baked bread.
Antipastos even features premium beers on tap or by the bottle. We carry wines from our family winery, DeRose Vineyards.
The deli is family-owned and family-run. It has an enormous following who'll tell you that whether you're coming for a sandwich, hot meal, prime cuts of beef, fish, poultry, or to take a few boxes of raviolis home, you'll be welcomed and treated just like you're part of the family.
